After opting in to In Review, how long will it take for my preprint to be posted on Research Square?

Modified on Thu, 10 Sep at 6:17 PM

Submissions received through the In Review service first undergo a quality check at the journal. Once the quality check is complete, Research Square will begin processing the manuscript for posting as a preprint. This can take up to 3 weeks to complete depending on the journal you submitted to.

If your manuscript is submitted at a Nature Portfolio journal, your preprint will be posted once it has been sent out for peer review.

It is possible to request that your preprint be posted sooner. Follow the procedure on our Can my preprint be posted in the next few days page.

*Please note: if you opted into the In Review preprint service during your journal submission, there is no need to submit your manuscript directly to us. We will receive your manuscript directly from the journal and post it as a preprint once it has passed journal checks.
